Some of my biggest projects include the Portal information management and Portal strategy roadmap for BHPB Iron Ore. I was also engaged with the Office of e-Government Western Australia for the development of a web content management and search strategy, incorporating a business plan for transformation of the existing information sharing framework to provide a single point of access to citizen-centric structured information from Government. I have recently conducted a number of information management strategy workshops for Norilsk Nickel, DP World, Fire and Emergency Services of Western Australia and Churches of Christ homes.
The most challenging and rewarding project I have worked on recently was the development of the BHP Billiton Iron Ore Portal strategy and information architecture. Iron Ore are leading the move towards unified view of information within the framework of the overall Corporate BHPB Portal implementation. At the outset of the projects, we discovered that there was a need to assist BHPB to make a paradigm shift in the way they though of information being delivered and shared through a portal. This led to the delivery of a series of educational activities and workshops, the outcome being a 10-step plan to better align their portal strategy to their initial vision and importantly, their business drivers. This was rewarding as we were able to influence the development and direction of the Corporate Portal Strategy and our recommendations were well received, to the extent that a change of direction is occurring globally as a result.
